Once again, Winston is our Fluffy Friday subject. He’s just too cute to resist!

This was snapped by Joseph (our new photographer) while our model was changing outfits. Doesn’t he make a good holiday elf?

Today We had a photoshoot with Emily (one of our incredible models) and Winston really wanted to be included. Here’s the result…

This is his favorite method of begging for treats – also known as the Winston Dance. It seems like the rolls of skin on his back help him balance; I’ve seen him stay on his hind legs for close to a minute. At least no one can say that he’s not cute AND talented!

Today is Tuesday, and you know what that means, right? It’s the day to celebrate awfully awesome fashion!

This skirt, a silken wrap covered in bizarre stylized tassels, is a perfect example. It’s semi-nautical, very vintage ladies who lunch,

and maybe kind of strange and off-putting on its own…

But think how good this would look with tall black boots and a slim turtleneck sweater. If there’s such a thing as ugly chic, I think we’ve found it!

Today was crazy! We definitely broke our daily sales record, which means (…drumroll…) that it was the best day in ModCloth history. All I can say is “WOW”. Thanks so much for making it happen! Of course, record-breaking day or not, Mushroom Monday must go on.

This is a relatively recent find – a vintage handbag with a trio of hand-painted ’shrooms. I’m totally smitten.

The closet in my bedroom started to seriously overflow, so I spent this weekend moving part of my wardrobe to a small guest bedroom across the hall.  Right now it’s split into party dresses and coats on one rack, day dresses on another, and skirts on the third. I think I’m going to add one more rack of tops and (hopefully) that will be enough space. This is the downfall of running a clothing business: your wardrobe quickly becomes ridiculous. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

I just hope our next house guest doesn’t mind sharing the room with a few hundred of my most prized possessions.

This week’s star of Fluffy Friday is an adorable maltese named Lotus.

He really enjoys being in front of the camera. In fact, he’s even made guest appearances in a few ModCloth photoshoots!

I think he might really have a future in the “dog-eat-dog” (ha, ha) world of pet modeling.

There’s a lot to be thankful for here at ModCloth. I could literally write pages and pages about how incredible this last year has been… but I won’t because today is one of the biggest shopping days of the year and I need to pack orders! Welcome to another installment of Awefulsome Tuesday, the internet home for ugly/fabulous. We’ve been celebrating purses for a few posts now, so today we thought we’d change things up and marvel at a particularly special dress.

It’s sleek, black, cut straight to the knee in beautiful material…

and it has gigantic striped satin sleeves decorated with gigantic satin covered buttons.

Over the top, perhaps!, but think how perfect this is for a hip cocktail night, paired with a satin clutch and killer heels. Keep your eyes peeled, because we might just be parting with this dress and you might just be able to own it yourself…

I promise this is my last birthday-related post. On Friday I got an awesome owl cake,  and over the weekend I got yet another cute & delicious surprise.

It’s a Winston-Cake! And yes, he was scrumptious.
