Outfit of the Week: Get Quirky

Hello ModLovers, Lindsay here with this week’s installment of Outfit of the Week. Today, I’m delving into the rarely treaded and always interesting tradition of pattern matching. Quirky girls tend to catch the spotlight. Unique ideas have always made waves in the fashion world, so taking that mantra to your everyday look is an easy way to bring fresh ideas to your personal style.

Here’s my take on it: When I first laid eyes on the Antique Shop Dress, I stopped dead in my tracks. The eye catching color and flattering-to-all shape can effortlessly be dressed up or down, not to mention it reminds me of heirloom couches at my grandmother’s that I was never allowed to sit on. What shoes could I deem worthy of such a breathtaking frock? The Cher Wedges were the obvious choice. Fringe is the new black, and these gorgeous slingbacks are no stranger to the trend. The beautiful purple suede matches without blending in.

Let the record show that I am addicted to outerwear. I could go a month without wearing the same coat twice, but as of late, the Little Plaid Riding Hood Coat has stolen my heart and become my essential early fall staple. Plaid isn’t the go-to pattern for those adorned in floral, but in the spirit of the unique girl, I gave it a try. Lo and behold I liked what I saw – unexpected patterns working in perfect harmony! I completed the look with the My Pet Octopus Necklace, and finally I was ready to step out in (quirky) style. Give it a try, you may never go back! Thanks for reading, and as always, happy shopping.
