It’s getting to be one of our favorite times of the year: the time when instead of using vintage icons merely for inspiration, we get to dress exactly like them! It’s Halloween Costume time! We’ve certainly been excited here at ModCloth. In fact, we’re already dressing up! With our sizable wardrobe, we think we’ve managed to create some pretty awesome costumes. For the next couple of weeks, we’ll be posting pictures of our ModCloth Halloween on the blog. Maybe you’ll be able to use one of our ideas for your own costume!

Alicia as Audrey Hepburn
“Or is that Mod-rey Hepburn? Bad joke, bad joke. If you’re learning towards a beautiful look this Halloween rather than something gory or scary, you really can’t go wrong with Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s! I’m thinking wistfully of buckets and buckets of candy.”

Crystal as a first lady
“Since 2008 is an election year, I wanted my outfit to have a political theme without any glasses or a bright pantsuit. So, I’m going to be a first lady for Halloween. Even though I don’t look like Jackie O. or Nancy Reagan, this theme is a fun way to be regal and vintage-y, while still being warm. Yes, I’m looking at you, American flag bikini.”

Susan as a flapper
“It’s kind of a stretch to call this ensemble a ‘costume’…I’d definitely wear it for a night out dancing–Halloween or not! In any case, I love the fringe on the dress, and the shoes are comfortable enough to keep my feet happy during a long night of trick-or-treating.”

Anyway, all your outfits are too cute! I love the Audrey Hepburn one.
If I could make a costume out of anything on Modcloth I’d have to go for an 80′s outfit.
