Introducing Yana K!

Hello ModLovers! We’re pleased to announce the arrival of the newest up and coming designer to grace the pages of ModCloth.com – Yana K! Born in Russia, Yana Khromova (like so many of us) took an early interest in the world of fashion. Inspired by her mother, a master seamstress, she moved to the United States at age 11, and by 22 she had opened her first boutique in LA with only her love of fashion and a dream.

Today, she designs seven different collections, all out of her LA-based design house. Inspired by Coco Chanel, Stella McCartney, and Russian designer Alexander Vasilier, her line reflects wearable high fashion with just the right amount of glam. We adore the vintage feel to her pieces, and it turns out we’re not the only ones – Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Kelis, and Abigail Breslin are all among her young Hollywood clientele.

We are so excited to offer this fresh and unique line to admirers of independent designers around the world. Be sure to check out the essential Black Bombshell Party Dress and the go anywhere Carefree Tweed Dress – both from her line Yana Couture. Let us know what you think!

Whoa, 22?! How accomplished! I love both of her dresses on Modcloth; they both carry a sort of sophistication while sneaking in fun details like the buttons on the Carefree Tweed Dress.
