Wow! Close to 2000 submissions?? You guys must love dinosaurs…or maybe you just love naming things.
Obviously, it was no easy task to judge this contest. There were so many excellent ideas! Kudos to Jessica, who suggested Gilmore, noting that Charles W. Gilmore disovered the first full skeleton of the Camarasaurus. You must have done your research to know that Pleo was modeled after a Camarasaurus.
We liked Churchill too, as a nod to the dino’s fellow office pet, Winston. But to be honest, we’re not so sure what Winston thinks of the robot. He did sniff under its tail when they first met, but since then, he’s practiced avoidance.
We also loved Brussel, Modzilla and especially C3Pleo!!
But ultimately, this small, green dino with the bumpy skin just looks like a Gherkin. Congratulations to Piper, who rescued us from our naming pickle.
