Amazon has recently started carrying food products, and one especially popular item seems to be Tuscan Whole Milk, which has already accumulated 1,019 reviews– each of them hilarious.
Reportedly, only people under the age of 25 can hear this high-pitched sound. It was originally developed under the name The Mosquito in 2005, and was intended to be used as a deterrent to teenage loiterers. While its been criticized as a violation of human rights, teenagers in the UK have taken matters into their own hands and used it as a ring tone to avoid school cell phone rules.

Friday was Conan’s last Late Night and even though he’s moving on to bigger and better time slots, it was still touching and a little sad to see him go. Conan will take over the Tonight Show on June 1st and Andy Richter will supposedly be back too! He’s reportedly taking over the role of announcer, once held by Ed McMahon during Johnny Carson’s reign. Until June, we’ll just have to get our Conan fix through YouTube, such as the clip below: I’ve always been a personal fan of the dynamic between Conan and Martha Stewart. Have a HAPPY WEEKEND!
Today’s Fashionista of the Week, picked from ModCloth Style Exchange Flickr Group, is “Paige Loves Vintage”! There is so much to celebrate about her outfit photo, “J’aime danser le vendredi,” I hardly know where to begin. We love how Paige combined ModCloth items (Lydia Leggings, Block Party Panda Top in Grey, Bay Breeze Sunglasses, Remember Ring and Mon Peluche Bag) with rough-and-tumble jean shorts and adorable flats. We love her cute pose, too – in fact, we’re tempted to put this pic in one of our lookbooks. Wherever Paige was headed in this ensemble, I’m sure she stood out!
While Sari and Lindsay are scouring the country for hundreds of the most stylish shoes (get a sneak peek on our Flickr page), I took on the duties of showcasing my very own Outfit of the Week!
You want what you can’t have, so while grey continues to permeate my world, if only for a few more weeks (fingers crossed), I’ve been drawn to bright colors. True, neon yellow and bold purple may not be the miracle solution for a happy and balanced world outlook, but they’re probably not a terrible start either– especially in dreary February.

They’re known for their vintage inspiration and excellent fit; and they have been featured in magazines from Allure to Oprah, and worn by stars like Paris Hilton and Zooey Deschanel. And… keep your eyes peeled! We’re going to carry a swimsuit, romper, and some of their cutest dresses this spring & summer!
HER MORNING ELEGANCE I set out in hopes of finding some of the best artistic YouTube videos, and really felt as if I came up short in general. Most were amateurish: lacking in technique, and interesting content. But the one above is my absolute favorite of what I have found. It was created by Oren Lavie, an Isreali artist, and really is beautiful. My favorite parts: the dancing, the wind, the fish, and the part where she is jumping from one pillow to the next (it kind of reminds me of Mario Bros).
There are a few more interesting videos after the fold. Read on! And submit a comment if you would like to share any other artsy vids…Read the rest of this entry »
I am so excited for the Spring. I can’t wait until it gets warmer here in the ‘Burgh, but I have to admit, my favorite season is Fall. I love the colors, the clothes, and particularly the food! So when the sun comes back and the snow is gone, and I find myself getting nostalgic for Autumn, I whip up a batch of these healthy little Pumpkin Pie Sandwiches. They’ve got all the frozen yumminess of a warm-weather treat, with all the flavors of Thanksgiving. And, they are ridiculously easy to make!
Ingredients:
1 8oz tub of fat free Cool Whip
2 packs (12 full sheets) of reduced fat honey graham crackers
1 8oz can of organic pumpkin pie mix
Room in your freezer for a small cookie sheet
Directions:
Break up the graham crackers in half so that you have 24 squares while the Cool Whip comes to room temperature. Mix 1/2 of the can of pumpkin pie mix with the Cool Whip. Taste. If you like a stronger pumpkin flavor, keep adding until you’re happy. Scoop the Cool Whip/pumpkin mixture on to 12 graham cracker squares. Cover the mixture with the remaining 12 squares, setting them gently atop the Cool Whip mixture. Do not press them down! Transfer the sandwiches to a cookie sheet and quickly put in the freezer until hard. Enjoy!
Vegan?
Instead of using Cool Whip, let a pint of vanilla Tofutti get soft (not runny!). Working quickly, mix the desired amount of pumpkin into the Tofutti, and scoop onto the crackers. Make your sandwiches, and freeze for a totally vegan winter-meets-summer treat!

Last week, I attended the AWP writer’s conference in Chicago. Not only did I get to see some amazing lecture and readings, but I also went to fantastic restaurants and saw some Chicagosights! Thanks to you all for suggesting cool places to visit…I wish I had more time to try them all!
