  • I like looking at dogs…that look like people.
  • Top 10 Moments caught on Google Maps Street Viewthe swordsmen in number 10 were photographed right here in Pittsburgh!
  • In honor of David Sedaris’ recent appearance in Pittsburgh and the gloomy April showers dampening our moods today, download one of Sedaris’ stories, April in Paris, from the NPR website. And for all you fashonistas out there, I also found a great clip of Sedaris on Letterman reading about “accessories.”
  • Who doesn’t love cartography? I just found this awesome blog, Strange Maps. I particularly like this collection of “accidental maps,” including an outline of the United States, as depicted in a torn piece of naan bread and Australia as a puddle.

What We’re Into:

Liz: I’m a big fan of The Soup, and I’m REALLY into their new segment “Gavel Bangin.” It premiered last week, and after seeing the court clips they found–I can only hope it’s here to stay. Click here to see what I mean!

Have a great weekend, ModClothers!

I’m sure you didn’t intend for this reaction, but I would NOT consider a teenager about to shoot a child with a handgun a “Top 10 moment of google maps” The image is disgusting and a product of what is wrong in America. We are too desensitized to gun violence and images such as this one are touted as some sort of technological wonder. . . If you are from Chicago like me you know all too well the reality of children murdering other children. Love your sight but do your homework!

Kiely, I’m sorry if the link to the article caused offense! We simply thought it was an interesting list (both for the lighthearted elements included and the more strange or disturbing elements). Honestly, we thought the gun was a toy, but we certainly didn’t mean to attenuate the gravity of violence of any kind.
