For my outfit of the week, I decided it was time to go a little out of my style comfort zone. I took the Lavender Luxury Tights and layered them over the ModCloth essential Black Peacock Feather Tights. I put on the amazing Postmodern Peep Toes, and then it was time for a little help from the best stylist ever, Vasil.
He added the Head in the Clouds Headband and the following upcoming items: The Guinevere Tunic, the Just Bead It Necklace in Black, and the yet-to-be named, incredibly fierce, black chain bag – and then he told me to jump!
So now I need some feedback. Do you like the look? Has Vasil styled me fierce? Please be kind!

this is so adorable!! :D I want this outfit so bad!
Well done Liz. Stunning pose; I won’t compliment the stylist…but the outfit looks great on you :P
Wasn’t it uncomfortable on your stomach to have two pairs of tights on??
Hi Sarah! I actually layer tights all the time and it has never been uncomfortable :)
the best way i can describe it is…..
I love the look! Maybe when you do the jump pose, you can look at the camera…maybe that might be a little better. I still like the pose though! :3
Liz, you must have some crazy comfortable tights! The ones I have really cut into my stomach at the top part of the waist band—they are mostly Simply Vera tights from Kohl’s so maybe I just have crappy tights!
I might have chosen a lighter pair of shoes so it wasn’t all “light @ top vs. dark @ feet,” but they’re definitely the right kind of shoes.
And I’m with Kellie on the “can’t wait to add that tunic to my closet”!
I have never understood the tights-as-pants-under-what-is-essentially-a-long-shirt concept, but maybe I am just getting old! You do have the legs to rock it. And I appreciate the texture achieved by the layered tights.
I never would have thought to layer tights but it looks so good. You look so adorable.
wow i love it!!
I think the purple/black is a little too dark for the summery white shirt, esp for summer. Maybe a colored shirt would work better.
Please, oh please make this tunic available now! I need it! This is simply a beautiful look – I would probably stay with my comfy black tights but am always impressed when people can get away with a little ‘wimsy’ in an outfit!
indeed! this is a fabulous look, and i’m not surprised that vasil is partly responsible for it. i knew vasil when he was a student in the art program at duquesne university here in pittsburgh (where i’m a grad student and a full-time employee). before he graduated, he showed me his portfolio of fashion designs. amazing! i’m so thrilled to know he’s using his gifts at modcloth! (smooches to you, vasil!)
with love from pittsburgh…
laura
I agree with the contingent of “I want this tunic now, please!”
I might swap out for lighter shoes so the lower half isn’t all dark, but the shoes are definitely the right style.
love the tights layering effect. i just bought the Hint of Mint pair as my first open-weave tights….can’t wait to try the look!
hahaha… oops, double post!
I like the play of dark with light… and I have the perfect purpley necklace to go with all this ;]
I think it looks great for coming into spring (yay 80 degree weather!)
And I guess that’s why the jump… but… I’m not a fan of that, haha
Love the styling though =]
I love it! The one thing I would change would be the necklace…for some reason, it just doesn’t go in my opinion. But the other pieces look great together! =)
I think it’s all perfect! Lovely!
u r a supermodel
I LOVE THESE TIGHTS!!!!!
They’re sooooooooooo CUTE!!!
Is that white romper from Modcloth. You don’t mention where you got it. I just love it.
That’s the Guinevere Tunic from Mink Pink. You can check it out with the link below, but sadly, it’s no longer available on the site. Sorry :(
