Great Looks from the Grand Prix

The other weekend, Pittsburgh’s annual Vintage Grand Prix roared on through Schenley Park.  The sun was shining, the svelte old cars were gleaming, and the town’s fashionable plenty were out and about!  With ModCloth’s Seen Style in mind, I set out to spot the best looks lounging among the automobiles.

Read on to hear about these style spottings!

The cute little lady at right is wearing a pretty lace-trimmed dressed that is hands-down adorable. It’s got a great antiqued color that goes well with the cream lace slip that peeks out at top.

In the left hand photo, I love how this chiquita has used a simple red sash and deep yellow tights to add a pop of color to the crisp white of her eyelet-edged dress.  In fact, this dress looks just like the Guinevere Tunic that ModCloth once carried!

The girl at center really captured the spirit of the Grand Prix.  At first glance, her shirt is just a conglomeration of curving colors, but upon closer look, you’ll discover that these curves are actually sketches of the very cars that were racing around the track.  Fantastic! Also, don’t miss her sleek silver shoes.  Vroom!

Last, a special appearance from Pittsburgh’s quarterly downtown gallery crawl. This girl used a low slung belt, frilled and swiss dotted khaki dress, and cute hair clip to pull together a modern vintage look.

What do you think of these looks?

About Hannah

"Q: Where do cantaloupes go for the summer? A: John Cougar Mellon Camp!" From that joke you can surmise a few things about Hannah -- she loves a good pun, she delights in irreverence, and red peppers are her vegetable of choice. How does one figure out Hannah loves red peppers from that joke? Hmm, that's top secret. Hannah also adores outdoor activities, arts & crafts, reading, and being abroad.

They’re all adorable! I especially like the dress on the right!! Her sandals are adorable, too!

P.S. I think you confused right and left in the descriptions!

I especially love the last one. Now if I only knew where to find that belt.

These girls are so cute, (and not just because I happen to know 2 of them). Katie looks so elegant at the gallery crawl.
