Who: Maura, Pittsburgher & vintage-lover
What: Mondrian-inspired shift dress
Where: Up Six Vintage, St. Paul, MN
How Much: $39
When I use It: Whenever there’s a special occasion. This is my new favorite dress, so I wear it whenever I feel like looking extra-special! It really could work on any occasion, though it’s kind of a heavy fabric for a hot day. I’m wearing it here with my Stone Cold Mary Janes from Modcloth!
Shopping Tips: Never pay too much for vintage. I love Up Six, where I got this dress, because they have great things that aren’t overpriced. Also, I’m a big fan of 1960s shift/mini dresses for short girls like me. I never have a problem finding one that fits.

“Never pay too much for vintage” Yes!! I agree and am glad to see I am not alone. And I love that you have found a style that rocks on short girls like us.
Oh my goodness…Up Six actually has more expensive prices than Lula’s or Everyday People, two stores within a block of Up Six!!!
I’ve found adorable vintage dresses, scarves, boots, shirts, skirts, jewelry in both of the stores, some for half the price of items at Up Six!!!
I’ve never liked the stuff at Lula as much as what’s at Up Six…but I think they have comparable prices. When I said don’t pay too much for vintage, I just meant unreasonable prices. I think all the stores in St. Paul are very reasonably priced.
