ModCloth is Making it Work, after work!

As Tim Gunn would say, we’re on a mission to “Make it Work!” after work, that is. As lovers of fashion, a good challenge, and the newest season of Project Runway, a few peeps at the office decided to get together to make our own fun internal competition in a similar manner.

Our office contest is to find an inspiring vintage item (80s and before) and re-work it into something new!

We’ve decided to keep our ModLife readers in on the loop, and when it comes down to judging time, we’d like you to pick a ModFan favorite in the end! Keep reading to see what each of our office participants have chosen as their vintage item(s) to transform!

Natalie; Graphic Designer

Lacey; DC Receiving Manager

Paulette; Vendor Relations

Stay tuned for future updates, where we will soon be posting pictures of concepts, as well as the final garments with a planned date of November 20th!

I have all kinds of reconstructed dresses! I practically live at thrift stores :) I love the old fabrics but the silhouette is a bit outdated on most items, so a little snip and tuck here and there goes a long way! I cannot wait to see some finished products!
