Announcing the ModStylists!

You helped us pick a name for these ladies last week, and now they’re officially here to assist you in your pursuit of great style. ModCloth is proud to announce our ModStylists! These girls are here to act as your personal shopping assistants and answer all of your style and shopping questions. What kinds of questions you can ask our ModStylists?

Besides enriching your wardrobe choices, these stylistas can help you with any queries about shopping for others. Here are some examples of the types of questions that ModStylists can help you answer taken from real customer e-mails!

I just ordered the Battalion Jacket in Ivory. I can’t wait to receive my new jacket, it looks super cute online. Do you have any suggestions of what to wear with it?

I think it could be really cute with a crisp white or black button up, dark jeans (skinny or trouser), and black boots! You want to pair it with simple things so you don’t overshadow the jacket.

I need a dress for homecoming, any suggestions?

Here are a few suggestions that can fit any personal style: Shine of the Times Dress, Moved to Tiers Dress, and if you’re in the mood for something a little wild, the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Dress!

I love ModCloth and stalk the dress section, but now it’s cold in NY and I keep looking and there are still only dresses that look like they could be worn in warm weather.

Thanks for writing in! You’re right that most of the dresses are sleeveless, but you could always pair a nice summery-looking dress with opaque tights, boots, and a cardigan or blazer! Adding just a few cold weather accessories like scarves and hats to a summer dress can easily update it for Fall/Winter!

Hi there! I am looking to do some shopping for my wife because she loves this site, but I have no idea what to get her! She is a size 6 in dresses, a size 8 shoes, and usually wears a small/medium in tops. She wears a lot of dresses so I was thinking about getting her a dress and then adding some additional items like shoes and some jewelry to wear to our New Year’s Eve Party. Please get back to me with any possible options!

I went through the site and picked out some great pieces for you to choose from for the occasion! Dresses that would be great for the part are as follows: Trace of Lace Dress in Copper, Costume Designer Dress in Opera, Chartreuse Chanteuse Dress, Generations Dress, Promise Keeper Dress, Blue Smoke Dress, Time Travel Dress, or the Perfectly Posy Dress.

With most of these dresses you can do either gold or silver jewelry, like The Dancing Jewel Necklace, Tied in a String of Hearts Necklace, Highway To Style Necklace, Bali Ha’i EarringsChasing Waterfalls Earrings, or the Remember Ring. Also, here are some shoes that would be good choices for these dresses: After the Gold Rush Flats,Vegas Odds Heels, Soothing Song Heels, and Midnight Kiss Heels.

If you follow us on Facebook, then you’ve seen the styleboards that the girls have been whipping up daily for your dose of style inspiration. But they can also create personalized styleboards for you if seeing a visual collage of your choices would help you pick the perfect piece!

So, if you’re stumped on what to wear, reach out to these ladies for a bit of style guidance!

Hello! I love wearing dresses, but I don’t want to feel like I’m over dressing when I’m just at the grocery store or hanging out with a couple of friends. Any pointers on how to make a nice dress part of a more casual ensemble? Thank you so much!

I am looking to change my style. I am looking for the 40s and 50s look. I just bought two high waisted full skirts (The Be My Valentine skirt and Salute Your Skirt) I am a teacher and I was wondering if you had any advice for me. I want to be comfortable since I am on my feet all day long but I want to look chic without looking like I tried too hard.
