Pearls Are a Girl's Best Friend

Today’s Style Inspiration comes from Shontae, a Research Specialist at UPMC in Pittsburgh. Shontae attended last Saturday’s awesome ModCloth party, and I couldn’t help but notice her flawless style from across the room. When it comes to fancier occasions, or days when you just feel like playing dressing up, you honestly can’t go wrong with a fine set of pearls. Shontae proudly displayed a love for freshwater jewels in her necklace, bracelet, and earrings! I admire anyone who exhibits that kind of chic consistency, especially when paired with an adorable printed dress, a sleek evening bag, and a sophisticated shrug!

In addition to posing for an inspirational photo, Shontae also offered sage advice, in the form of her 2010 style resolution: “I’d like to find more cute, sensible shoes – especially for winter!”

For a similar look, try pairing the Mod Mollusk Earrings with the Jealous of Fame Stole and the Reflection Dress in Yellow!

Yes! Pearls! I absolutely HATE diamonds. So tacky, overly shiny, over used… Now, PEARLS, pearls are beautiful and natural. I was lucky enough to inherit some lovely pearls from my great-grandmother, and if I wasn’t so afraid to break the chain, I’d be wearing them every day.
