It’s the time of year when I find myself in a wardrobe slump. The weather’s cold, the ground is slushy, and by the time I leave work, it’s so dark and dreary that the only thing that cheers me up is pulling on sweatpants and curling in a ball on my couch. But it is a new year, and I do work at the coolest clothing outfitter ever, so as you can imagine, ModLover – my sweats slump can only last so long! To help reinvigorate my style, I asked ModCloth’s fabulous Social Media Coordinator Natasha Khan, to help out with this edition of Outfit of the Week!
This ensemble’s inspiration came from Natasha’s desire to mix ‘club style with business style.’ “Now that I’m past 25,” she said, “I feel like I have to make my night look a bit more sophisticated.” We rose to the challenge of finding the ultimate office-to-happy hour look, and chose A Stud-y in Chic Blazer for its classic cut and rock and roll studded lapel. We didn’t want to awash Natasha completely in black, so the New Dress on the Block, with its deep purple skirt and cream top added a suave pop of color that is completely office appropriate. Jeffrey Campbell’s utterly incredible Fancy Footwork Heels (seriously – they had us both hypnotized!), was a perfect mate to the blazer – bringing the perfect amount of edginess all the way to her toes! We added the Tights for Every Occasion in Night Class to pull everything together, but we still needed a few finishing touches to complete the look. The City of Angels Ring and our Time is Precious Watch highlighted the outfit’s silver components, without overpowering the sleekness of the ensemble. As she slipped on the watch, Natasha fawned over it, exclaiming, “I’m pretty sure my mom had this watch when I was a kid!” Finally, we loved how the Life is a Highway Purse could change from a shoulder bag to a clutch at a moment’s notice – a perfect companion to take her from meetings to martinis!
What do you think ModLovers? Will Natasha ‘s outfit last her through the day – and night?

Looking awesome.
Definitely!
I love it! Natasha, you look flyyyy!
Love the outfit! There is a fine line between dressing trendy at work and going overboard and looking like you are on your way to a club. This is a great look – trendy, yet sophisticated.
I love this outfit! It really compliments her. She looks amazing.
Also, The link to the Fancy Footwork heels leads back to the blazer.
I think Natasha should try the Fancy Footwork Heels in a smaller size:p…
looking good !
Great outfit, and the lady modelling looks about a million bucks.
Usually the outfits of the week are cute, but not very practical. This look on the other hand is perfec.! I love it! I would be able to wear it all day and all night!
This outfit really is the perfect classy/hot hybrid. Love it – Natasha is looking fab!!
I like the outfit, but alas it is not “totally appropriate for the office” where I work. I work in a conservative field and there is no way we could show that much thigh. Even with the dark tights, that skirt is too short. I can’t get away with more than an inch or two above the knee.
