I’m not sure why, but when I saw this yearbook at a local thrift shop, it spoke to me. It said, “Hannah, buy me! Take me home. Read me! Oh, and then, if you don’t mind terribly, write a Top 10 about me. I think people would really enjoy that.” The yearbook had a point. So, yearbook, your wish is my command — I’ll leave my words here, and let you do the talking!

How cute! I would love to see more. :D
haha! are the captions real? they are hilarious!
Love this Top 10 — how fun!
This is AMAZING!! It reminds me of my dads!!
@Amy — The captions are real. I couldn’t have made up captions that good if I wanted to!
Ok I stumbled upon this site through craftgawker… and have to ask…
is that the talbots as in… the Hampton Talbot’s of Hampton, PA (near pittsburgh)? Because I have a feeling I know some of those faces.
Oh my gosh I just saw the title, this is entirely TOO bizarre!!!! I’ve seen this yearbook before – all of my dad’s side of my family went to this high school! And to think that I just came across this website through an ad on craftgawker… so strange.
Chuck Betz was a TOTAL hottie.
As a Hampton High School graduate (Class of ’01), I have to say that I love this post…but I am probably biased. :)
This makes me so happy. Thanks for posting it ModCloth!! :)
oh that Paul Murray, what a heartbreaker!
Oh wow. Those captions are amazing. I like Barb’s cramming style.
@Erin, That’s a little freaky that it’s from your Dad’s school. Small world.
wow the caption on #2 is kinda funny…
More! I want to see the whole thing!!
Yesssss please. I wish my school yearbooks were half as fun!
More definitely! This completely makes up for the bore that my high school calls a yearbook!
as a former yearbook nerd… i LOVE yearbooks and have also picked up a few stragglers from years past for my collection. this one is truly a gem!
love the cover! very interested to see the homecoming queen, her court, & if there are any superlatives!
at the museum i work at, we have some year books from the 1920s, and the captions (although in these, they’re more like little stories) underneath the graduates’ names are absolutely hilarious (especially since some sayings from the 1920s mean something completely different now!). and, they have stats for each person too! it’s a good pick me up for when you’re having a bad day!
oh wow, i would love to see more of this yearbook. (if only my old ones were so witty!)
Bahahaha! Some of these are seriously passive aggressive. I think it might have been a case of revenge of the yearbook editor nerds.
“This Irish ham delights in taking advantage of gullible people and maintaining an innocent expression throughout.”
I wish that our yearbook did funny captions like that for each student, but sadly our class is too big for them to get to know everyone.
I’m also rather glad those hairstyles have been phased out! :)
haha, i love all the captions! i can’t believe they actually put all those…
the hairs were great to look at too :]
It doesn’t get much better than this.
I like #2. Im Irish and I love taking advantage of gullible people ;) and look innocent doing it….
So I relate. haha. This list is awesome, I love year books.
hahahaha! this is so much fun! I’m happy to know that Roseann’s hair style has been considered out of style. fun to look at thought! ;)
I would love to see more of this year book!
Oh, my goodness. Yes. Yes, I would like to see more, please.
yes–more of this would be good!!
More please!
Roseann Koglin’s hair defies all laws of gravity
Definitely more please!
oooooohh.. they so cute!
Omg……Peggy Sprinkle?!?! Soooo cute!!! And look at Roseann’s fabulous hair! And I thought it took me a long time to get ready in high school!
This is soo great! More please
I would love to see more! So fun and cute!
I love the captions. Why can’t my yearbooks be like that? You know, good.
I have my parents year books to look through. ’54 and ’56.
I wish my school would have done stuff like this. We were small enough (Only 4 seniors!) but my principal wasn’t that creative.
I love looking at old photographs. It’s like knowing people from another time, I fell kinda like a time traveler or something.
I have a book of Shakespearean songs, with an inscription from someone to a friend of theirs inviting them for Christmas net year. It was dated Christmas 1889! My own lil’ chunk of history!
these are hilarious! i wish i was around back then just to have a caption like that of me!
