Band to Watch: Lower Dens

On July 20th, Devendra Banhart and Andy Cabic‘s record label, Gnomonsong, plans to release the debut full-length album of Baltimore-based band, Lower Dens. The quartet plays dreamlike, soothing, guitar-driven tracks which pulse against indie folk singer/songwriter Jana Hunter’s contralto vocals and meditative lyrics.

Summer music releases always put me in a good mood! There’s nothing quite like jamming your latest music obsession with the windows down and a hazy sunset in the distance. What upcoming albums are you looking forward to hearing?

I’m excited to hear this band called Harlend make it big! It’s a christian band, but their music is AMAZINGGGGG.
