So excited you posted this!!!! Mythology is one of my favourite subjects, but, sad to say, until now I’ve never thought about categorizing mythologically based music. Coincidentally, though, I’m listening to “Rabbit Hearted Girl” by Florence and the Machine right now. It’s mostly a Alice and Wonderland themed song, but it definitely makes references to Midas’ golden touch too.
There’s a French “death metal band” called Manimal. Does an eight-episode TV show about a shape-shifting doctor count as a mythical being?
