Check out Delmy, the blogger behind Fashion Bananas. Her looks have attitude—think bright colors, cropped tops, and feminine silhouettes. She’s a freelance makeup artist and loves spending time with her family. Plus, if you lend her an ear, she might just burst out in song. Hear who would play her in a movie, and the star she’d like to dine with, by reading her interview. Plus, make sure to stop by her favorite ModCloth picks page and gaze at her ladylike namesake dress.
Do you have a day job, or do you blog full time? When you’re not blogging, what are your other hobbies?
I am a freelance makeup artist, and I work in retail. Shoes, of course. When I am not blogging, I am spending time with my family, my boyfriend and friends. Shopping is always on my agenda and whatever else sounds fun. Oh, yeah, and I love singing!
What style blogs do you follow?
Sea of Shoes is one of my favorites along with Street Peeper.
Who are your style icons? What else inspires your sense of style?
My mom. Most of the time I find inspiration going through my mom’s old photos. Other times, it’s fashion magazines, or I’ll just stare at my closet until I think of something to wear.
What favorite fall trend can you not wait to try out?
I am just excited about fall, period. I just love that you can accessorize more than you can in the summer. I’m excited to wear scarves, hats, boots, and blazers. I already bought my first pair of boots for fall 2010.
Who would play you in the movie of your life? Who would play your love interest?
Marion Cotillard. Just because she is such a classic beauty and seems so humble and sweet. My love interest? Easy. George Clooney. He just keeps getting better with age.
What would your dream date be like?
Something simple, like a dinner and a movie or bowling. As long as I am with the right person.
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and what would you eat?
Christina Aguilera. I’d probably ask her to record a song together (haha), while we eat the most delicious tacos ever.
What’s one crazy thing you’ve always wanted to do but never had the guts to?
Trapeze. I’m too chicken, though. I am hoping I will face my fear pretty soon.
Do you have any secret dreams for the future?
I’d love to have my own makeup line.
