Curls, The Ultimate Autumn Accessory

Have you ever noticed that the hair type opposite of your own is the one you most desire? My hair has been bowl cut short, Locks of Love-ready long, and everything in between, but despite the fluctuating length and color, it’s never been curly. Much to my dismay, hot rollers and curling irons have absolutely no impact on my lifeless hair’s shape. Needless to say, I’ve got a serious admiration for girls with curls! In addition to impeccably styled ensembles, these fashion-forward mavens show how curly hair, be it untamed or well-manicured, can act as the ultimate autumn accessory!

I remember when straight hair was in and I spent hours straightening my curls. So glad they’re back!

So glad to see an article on curls! I love my curly hair but I’m usually at a loss of different ways to style it. Thanks ModCloth!

Aww, this makes me love my curls a bit more. I’ve been trying to get back in the habit of loving them!

Yay! I can put my flat iron to rest.

My hair is straight, which is convenient, but boring! I wish it could curl.

I’d classify most of these girls as “wavy haired” individuals, not owners of truly inconvenient curls like mine :) The problem truly is, like someone above stated, trying to style it. There are fewer options for curly-haired folk. And constant breakage because of the anatomy of the hair shaft.

    Cherish your straight locks!

I agree with Van. If you have wavy or straight hair and can get it to curl, you can make the curls sit anywhere you want. Real curls can get into some pretty odd formations-not neat, glamorous, or artistically messy, just wierd and untamable. That being said, at least a trip to the salon can get my curls back into movie star shape! lol
