What We Learned in 2010…

As we all know, New Year’s is a time for reflection and resolutions. So, to celebrate the end of 2010, we asked ModCloth employees the eternal question: “What did you learn this year?”

Now that you’ve watched us spill our guts, dish! What did you learn in 2010?

the site really needs to a) allow search by size and b)
include the size info in a way that lets shopstyle.com filter by
size. the stock turnover is really fast and it’s really exhausting
to find the three items in stock in xl.

This year I have learnt that if I really want something I can achieve it.
A year ago I decided I wanted to be a fashion journalist and this year I have worked hard on my blog, written for as many websites as I could, scored a great internship for the summer and worked hard.
I feel so inspired that I can do things if I put my mind to them!!

This year, I have learned that fashon and music are two of my passions. Also, I have learned that I am a really bad dancer. And a really bad speller.

I’ve learned that this website rocks, and that I love it and the clothes I’ve bought from it, and that, statistically, I visit this site more than any other. However, I really hate the frumpy direction the clothes are heading. The prints lately have been awful, and I miss the beautiful structured dresses from last year (oh, Un-Twill we meet again dress, how do you keep ending up on me, no matter whether I’m going to class, work, drinks or a Christmas party?). Don’t loose your unique, retro feel and your sensibility for providing classic looks with a modern twist. And, of course, bring back the measurements (though the “runs large in the bust”, for example, is a start). Thanks for a great year full of great blogging and great clothes.

Wise words, Erin. I totally agree. And I visit ModCloth pretty much daily. I’m addicted. :)

This year I learned that: the guy for me had been right in front of me for three years (luckily he’s super patient), I love making music more than I ever could’ve guessed, and what it means to go waterfalling.
It was a great year :)

I learned that good style doesn’t have to always fit perfectly, or be elegant, or take a lot of effort.

This year I learned that I really have to pursue what I like and can do- study English Creative writing and as brand new fashion blogger can meet people who are as passionate about fashion as I am.
