The Sound of Style: Listen to UK Designer Dahlia’s Playlist!

Music influences fashion, and since we source so many cool designers from around the globe, we thought it would be interesting to find out what tunes influence their aesthetic. Imagine our designers from Scotland, Japan, France, New Zealand… The music that they are exposed to must be as diverse as their individual styles! And we’d love to take a listen — so we’re going to bring to you, one playlist at a time, the sounds of the stylish brands that we carry from all around the world. Just in time for the close of London Fashion Week, meet the mixtape of London designer Dahlia!

From Dahlia, “Our Dahlia Head Office is actually surrounded by recording studios, so we’re very privileged to be amongst some wonderful musicians and singers. Adele, Mark Ronson, Florence Welch, and the Arctic Monkeys have all been spotted around our building ,and we adore being able to hear and see some of the most interesting British figures in the modern music industry.”

We couldn’t embed their last song, but it definitely deserves a mention. Take a listen to another one of their top song picks, “Price Tag” by Jessie J. While you’re listening, make sure to check out our current Dahlia wares, and let us know—do you have a fave jam from their London playlist? How about a favorite Dahlia dress?

I’m a huge fan of The Smiths and I really like Adele & Mark Ronson, so this was a lovely playlist to see, and a lovely designer I hadn’t heard of before too!

I love this sound of style idea. I am always on the lookout for new music! I noticed a bike theme in the music, and I thought it was ironic that a designer is listening to a song that states “I haven’t got a stitch to wear.” Talk about inspiration!!
