Like any artist, ModCloth photographer Kristin says she’s “constantly inspired, especially by others who are doing wonderful things!” When asked to create an inspiration board highlighting her lifelong artistic influences, Kristin wanted to feature the many fabulous women (and one fabulous man, Mr. Andy Warhol) who have helped to cultivate her lifestyle aesthetic and art over the years.
“I chose strong, artistic women with a unique sense of style. I can’t help but be attracted to people who are like that,” says Kristin.
Check out the inspiration board above, and let us know—who inspires your creativity?

Jean Seberg, Audrey Hepburn, Mia Farrow, Michelle Williams
A fellow Siouxsie fan <3
lookbook.nu is great to get inspiration. Fashism.com too is a nice website to get ideas (and it helps to fix your outfit). The best inspiration source is people just hanging out in the streets.
Joni Mitchell. Her lyrics are so beautiful and truthful (Come in From the Cold, Both Sides Now, California) . Nicole Krauss. Her writing is so simple, but in it’s simplicity and delicacy, is so powerful. I guess, I am inspired by people who are truthful in what they do, and who they are.

Patti Smith is absolutely my biggest inspiration in life/art. The woman was amazing.
I think movies inspire me the most. Harold and Maude, Amelie, and anything by Wes Anderson.
The styles from the old thin man movies, Audrey Hepburn, Shirly Temple, grace kelly, and the fashion designs in every tim burton movie by colleen atwood :)
People with unique fashion. Madonna, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry.
Siouxsie and Nico. <3
oh my god!!! Siouxsie Sioux! On a ModCloth blog! I DIE (both because I’m goth, that’s what we do, and a Rachael Zoe fan)!!
xoxo kat

Just watched “The September Issue” and I LOVE Grace Coddington. Marlene, Nico and I agree with the commentor who said Audrey Hepburn. They make style and grace look effortless <3
Kate Bush, Carole King, Tina Fey, Michelle Williams, Zooey Deschanel, Joan Jett
and I forgot Morrissey <3
Björk is a great inspiration to me creatively, musically, fashion-wise, just in everyway. Love that woman.
