Last week, when us writers were causing a ruckus at a product-naming brainstorm, it came out that Richard, our Marketing Writing Team Lead, is an expert at making handcrafted pudding. He told us that he learned to make pudding from his mom, who learned it from her mom, who, as family lore has it, once entered the “smooth, creamy, rich brown” pudding in the 1954 edition of the once-renown Great American Pudding Cook-off and won a blue ribbon.
After we all laughed over a good many pudding puns (“You’re puddin’ a smile on my face!” “Stop puddin’ your foot in your mouth.”), Jenn, our Einstein of a blog editor, recommended Richard make a how-to video on his ‘perfect pudding.’ Ever the humble guy, it took a lot of convincing to get Richard to cave in, but he eventually agreed to do his first ever cooking post to share his pudding recipe, family secrets and all. Hope you enjoy!
UPDATE: Since you’re no puddin’ head, you probably figured this out already, but… APRIL FOOLS! If we were really going to do a post on making pudding, we’d think a little more outside the box. And yeah… we’d probably refrain from wearing skants too, no matter how good Richard made them look both this year and last.
