When the hardback release of My Milk Toof arrived on my desk, there was only one phrase I could pen to my West Coast colleagues with my heart all a’mush: “You are about to be adora-bliterated!”
Told in a series of vivid snapshots accompanied my perfectly pithy prose, My Milk Toof follows the adventures of ickle and Lardee, two baby teeth BFFs who are bursting with personality. Born as a blog in 2009, My Milk Toof is the creation of artist Inhae Lee, who fashions the polished pair from polymer clay and paints their signature expressions, before capturing them in delicately-posed photos, complete with miniature costumes, props, and scenic locations.
Curious about her detail-oriented creative process? Watch Lee transform her ideas from a collection of hand-drawn sketches into an adorable game of hopscotch in the video below.
Want a book on your shelf that will always inspire a toothy grin? Brush up on the entire history of dental hijinks between ickle and Lardee with this title, available in our bookshop.
