Dude, 'tweet!' The "Strike a Prose" Contest Winners!

Clever word pairings ‘lit’ up Twitter feeds on May 18 with your Strike a Prose Contest submissions! There were tons of ‘tweet’ entries, but only three had the ‘write stuff’ to be deemed winners. In the theme of literature and fashion, our top entries were:

“Me Dress Pretty One Day” by @thepyxie

“Bridget Jean’s Diary: The Hem of Reason” by @jbmclendon

“Dr. Zhivago-go Boots” by @sassblckneighbor.

Last but not least, we just can’t help but mention the shout out from the one and only Margaret Atwood, whose tweet just might find itself in a vintage picture frame not too far from our own writers’ area!

Check out the rest of the submissions the next time you sign in to Twitter by searching #literaryfashion and #modcloth, and while you’re at it, give @ModCloth a shout-out! All puns intended.

She often makes social situations more awkward than they need to be and loves the word "scrumtrulescent!"

Ha! Couldn’t help tagging Ms. Atwood in my Handmaid’s Tale tweet (The Handmaid’s Trousseau, not nearly as awesome Zhivago-go Boots, I admit!)–I hope that’s what did it, I’d feel very proud!!

except i see that ScarletReport had the same notion–good one! Hmm, ScarletReport, MauveIncognito? Maybe we should join fashion/literary forces?
