In honor of our new wedding stylebook, we’re devoting this week to coverage of all the parties, projects, and styles that go into a wedding! Since there are plenty of primers out there for brides and grooms, we thought we would craft a handy, multi-post guide for all the supportive, oh-so-stylish best friends. We’ll dish out advice on how to help your bride-to-be BFF find the perfect dress, offer ideas for that bridal shower you’ve been tasked with hosting (eek!), and more.

I actually made all the decorations for my brother’s wedding which is on this coming Saturday. You’d be happy to hear that I used two of your diy ideas you shared as part of the decorations. when I photograph the wedding, would you like to see?

my friend I’ve known since the beginnings of 6th grade is getting married in 10 months! all us BM’s are pretty excited :) winter wedding at a lake resort!
I’m a bridesmaid (for the first time) in my cousin, Amie’s wedding. I’m convinced she is the best bride ever because we are allowed to pick our own dresses!
I’ll be styling my friend’s wedding. She’s getting married on a flower farm and the inspiration is roosters and doilies! Can’t wait!
I’ll be a bridesmaid in my brother’s wedding this summer. His fiancee’s dress was her grandmother’s (made by HER grandmother) and we’re making our own bridesmaid/flower girl dresses. I’m very excited.
I got engaged about 3 weeks ago and the wedding is next May almost exactly a year from today. Couldn’t be happier with gobbling up all the wedding “shtick”!

My cousin is getting married at the end of July, and as I am a florist, I’ll be creating all of her floral arrangements :-)
One of my very best girl friends is getting married in a year and I’m a bridesmaid. I’m really glad they are planning it in such an advance because rushed weddings are no fun. I’ve been there (with other friends) and its always more stressful. And I love my girl and want to the the best bridemaid and, especially, friend during this exciting time in her life. BUT I’m not very good at this stuff. I could certainly use some help.
I just got engaged in December. We haven’t planned anything yet, but I can’t wait to find inspiration!

younger sister- getting married in about 2 months, in the wedding party
older sister (and best friend)- getting married next year, and I am the MOH and super excited. We will be making lots of diy decorations, plus I’ll be making a lot of cakes for the reception :)
As a bridesmaid in my friends’ wedding, I have also taken on the roll of helping to style it. They want their colors to be dark purple n black yet keeping a spring feeling full of butterflies (I hate butterflies lol) all for about $1,000. Impossible? Just about.
my bff is getting married on June 10, and I’m getting married on December 17! she’s been such a great friend and such an awesome example of how NOT to be bridezilla! i only hope i can be half as sweet while planning!

My best friend from grade school walks down the aisle this weekend! I’m lucky enough to be a bridesmaid and all this wedding talk is getting me excited :)
my best friend is getting married and i’m his best bro, which is what he’s calling the best man for this occasion. he was my mate of honor, so it totally fits. i’m pretty stoked.
One of my best friends from college is getting married at the end of July. She’s only been to a handful of weddings, all within the past year, and is feeling a little bogged down in the details.
