Runway to Reality: How to Craft Thakoon’s Fall 2011 Yarn Updos

This fall, we wholeheartedly encourage you to play with your hair. In this fun video how-to, blog writer Erin will teach you how to fashion yarn-woven hairstyles inspired by those seen at Thakoon’s Fall 2011 collection. The Thai-American designer’s ready-to-wear line introduced our eager, DIY-wired minds to playful new possibilities for the fall knit, taking yarn beyond the realm of scarves and beanies and into that of hair.

Let us know what you think! Are there any other runway looks you’d like to see us (try to) decode?

I love it especially if you have thin hair! you can instantly have new volume…
It also seems to be a stylish alternative to the current trend of dying some strands of hair in different colors without regretting it afterwards :)
