How does one get ready for Fashion’s Night Out? Read this post and find out! We asked two of our favorite bloggers, Tieka of Selective Potential and Andrea of Blonde Bedhead, to record their experience of last night’s FNO.

“As Tieka and I prepped for Fashion’s Night out, we took the proper steps to ensure style and comfort,” says Andrea. “I placed band-aids on my feet for my platform wedges while Tieka smartly paired flats with her ensemble. Even though we have very different styles, we helped each other style our outfits and don’t mind sharing our clothes with each other. Between the two of us, we could probably style hundreds of outfits! In the end, we ended up sticking to our signature favorites pieces: Tieka with floral and I with leopard print and leather.

“We both keep it minimal with makeup, but with Fashion’s Night Out, we turned it up a notch. Tieka applied a bright coral color to her lips and I added a cat eye. We were ready to go!

“Our night began in SoHo, which seemed to be the center of the craziness. People walked shoulder to shoulder through the sidewalks and streets, waited in long lines, gawked at the models stationed outside of boutiques, and, naturally, [witnessed] a lot of flash photography. Tieka and I made our way to Elie Tahari to check out some of the luxe fall dresses, sip champagne and meet fun, gorgeous bloggers.

“As Midwesterners, Tieka and I were both in awe of the amount of people out to celebrate fashion and found our favorite part to be watching the diversity in style wander the streets!”
Thanks for sharing your night with us, Andrea and Tieka! Did you participate in any FNO activities?

Aw, yay, I love both of these girls! Love that they stuck to their signature styles but just added extra bits of fun with bold lips & cat eyes!

Thanks for letting us share our fun FNO experience!! :)!
This is pretty great, but I was initially bummed because I was under the impression we were talking about the band, Blonde Redhead. Still, it was an interesting article.
Looks like so much fun! I really wish I could have gone to NYFW this year! Oh well, maybe next year. :D
I adore that first picture, and I would kill for a pair of frames like those!
