If you’ve been following along this week, you’ve already seen the divine vintage-inspired designs by A Beautiful Mess and Bleubird Vintage. Today we’re walking on the wild side with this beautiful bracelet from blogger Julie of Orchid Grey. For her bangle, this feline-loving phenom channeled the call of the wild with roaring lion heads complete with piercing, emerald green eyes.
We asked Julie about the story behind the vintage bracelet that inspired her design: “Tucked away in a far corner of the Northeast is my favorite antiques shop, stocked floor to ceiling with antique furniture, vintage jewelry, and rare books. While digging through the jewelry bins one day I hit vintage gold: This fantastic vintage lion bracelet. As a self-confessed cat lady, I couldn’t resist and immediately snatched it up.”

“For my redesign, I wanted to juxtapose softness and strength,” says Julie. “Drawing inspiration from the power of big cats, I removed the center ring, giving those lions room to roar.”

Julie donned her bracelet with the Frock Band Dress and That Ain’t All Folks Heel.

Picky point, but (as somebody quickly spells it in an earlier comment), it’s Olive Oyl, not Olive Oil . . .
