A Philly native, Lauren was 24 when she left her job as a graphic designer and moved to the Big Apple to follow her love for fashion. “My business partner and I started the collection 12 years ago on a sailboat,” she says. “Docked on the Hudson, we sewed our first collections on the boat and continued to live on it for five years. It was an economical way to live in NY and start a business.”
Above, the designer puts the finishing touches on one of the pieces. Using high quality materials such as Merino wool and silk, Lauren fashioned a fall collection replete with unique details, whether it’s an interesting color combination, a one-of-a-kind floral print, or a cute detachable collar. “We named our Fall lookbook ‘You Can Take the Girl Out of the Country,’” laughs Moffatt.
