I love paper mache animals. I saw paper mache antlers at a store and I loved it!

What did you use for your base?
Jessie,
I used a cooked paste recipe, which I’ve read makes the paste stronger. The ratio was 1 part flour to 5 parts water. You can read the recipe I used here: http://familycrafts.about.com/od/papermache/a/cookpmpaste.htm
