Caitlin’s Style Soundtrack: The Space Between 11 & 12

“So much of my life runs parallel with a soundtrack.”

ModCloth customer Caitlin is a Portland resident with a sick sense of style and an ear for music. So it’s only natural that for our first Style Soundtrack of 2012, we asked this music maven for her latest ModCloth loves alongside a soundtrack so good that we recommend ditching the headphones and turning your speakers up to 11!

“With this specific mix I tried to capture the juxtaposition of the overlap between the glitz and glam of the end of the year’s festivities and the freshness and innocence of the new year’s beginnings,” says Caitlin. “Sometimes the shift between these two extremes can leave a feeling of uneasiness. My soundtrack is an attempt to bridge that gap with powerful and dance-worthy jams!”

As for her style, whether she’s getting ready to start her day, heading to school, work, kickin’ around coffee shops, or hitting up a dive bar, Caitlin believes ModCloth “has a diverse collection of unique, funky, affordable items that suit all the roles of a stylin’ lady.”

About Julianne

Julie Since graduating from the "Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too," Julie's aptness for the written word picked up steam like a runaway train. Her journey thus far has been fueled by an adventurous heart, creative mind, and love of breakfast, baking, and bacon. She often makes social situations more awkward than they need to be and loves the word "scrumtrulescent!"

I’m really into funky earrings as well! I feel like a younger version of Mrs. Frizzle when I wear earrings shaped like beetles or porcupines. I love that modcloth has made chic ones easy to find!

My song to start the year is “At the Beach” by the Avett Brothers. It’s so happy and hopeful and I can’t get it out of my head!!
