From literary conferences to late-night readings, the modern poet ends up spending lots of time on the road. With the Santra Cruz Poetry Festival just around the bend, I’ve gathered up the must-have items for today’s traveling writer. While events like these are great for making professional connections, the best part about a poetry festival is hanging out with my fellow poet friends, making new ones, and gushing over the latest literary news. Plus, I just know someone will squeal when they see my letter tile pouch or typewriter necklace.

So cute. I love that.
… Except that you would probably look like a huge nerd showing up at a real poetry festival with a typewriter necklace and a Scrabble clutch.
You’d think that, but it’s sort of like showing up to a Star Trek convention dressed as Spock. It’s normal. You’ve got all your fellow poets to ooh and aww at your adorable writing-related accessories!
Oh my gosh. I love the typewriter necklace, it’s so cute. I’m actually a Creative Writing student concentrating in Poetry and I think that these pieces have to obligatory assets in my wardrobe.
Ah I love this ensemble. Especially those tights.
Very cute. The necklace is quite lovely!
I love that little makeup bag! It’s such a cute print, I’d carry that around anywhere!
