Three Noteworthy Outfits for NYFW

It’s finally February, and you know what that means. Valentine’s Day, you say? Not for another 13 days! What’s coming much quicker is New York Fashion Week! As one who always seems to over-pack — especially in the shoe department — I set out to find three looks that could all be styled around the versatile Heidkruger Boots, ensuring that while your suitcase may be light, you won’t be skimping on style!

On the Road

Whether you’re traveling by plane, train, or car, your travel ensemble should be simple and chic, a no fuss pairing of a tunic, leggings, and a comfy cardigan will keep you warm while still looking stylish. Keep your accessories simple by nixing the jewelry — sure to hold you up in security — opting instead for a statement making bag and a good book to keep you occupied!

In this outfit: London is Calling Leggings, One Can Taupe Tunic, My Even More Wonderful World of Fashion, Cozy Chic Cardigan, The Heidkruger Boots, Winter Romance Hat in Black, and The Upwardly Mobile Satchel in Neon Orange.

Blog Conference

A blog conference is the perfect place to let your personal style shine! Strut your stuff while staying warm with a bright sweater, bold skirt, and sweetly patterned blouse. Don’t forget a notebook set in which to write all you’ll learn and a pocket watch necklace to keep track of the time!

In this outfit: Leisure Tom-Cat Top, Neons Away Sweater, Cute En Route Skirt in Royal Blue, Strolling Around Tights, The Heidkruger Boots, Hipper Than Hypnotize Necklace, and Nom de Bloom Notebook Set.

Studio Visit

If you’ll be stopping by the studio of a favorite designer, amp up your look with a high-low hem dress and unique accessories to set you apart. Brush up on your style smarts with a fashion-centric tome, tucking it into an over-sized clutch upon arrival.

In this outfit: Case in Pointillism Dress, The Heidkruger Boots, Shades of Romance Handbag, The Shape of Rings, The Orchid Grey Bracelet, and Secrets of Stylists.

Will you be traveling to NYFW? What are your must-have items?

About Julie O.

A lover of all things vintage and vintage-inspired, Julie bought her first 1950’s frock in the fifth grade. Since then, Julie has become a self-described connoisseur of vintage and thrift shopping, which she shares on her blog, Orchid Grey. When she’s not scouring the racks for the perfect vintage skirt, this native New Englander can be found deftly navigating the slopes of a ski mountain, taking road-trips to the beach, and exploring new places with a vintage camera in her hand.
