The artful looks in Lauren Moffatt’s Fall 2012 were created with a prim and proper schoolgirl in mind, so it’s no surprise that the setting of yesterday’s presentation was a pair of classrooms in an old SoHo school building.
Her Fall collection boasted so many of our favorite details, with ladylike silhouettes and pretty Peter Pan collars with a bit of an undone edge. Playful details and a timeless color palette further convinced us that the pieces will be ones we’ll be coveting yearlong. So while we may have a few months until autumn, this fun presentation is already filling our heads with outfit ideas for the back-to-school season…

This collection (and shoot) is 10000000% classy. Not that she isn’t normally, but the schoolgirl theme often crosses the line into a tad creepy. What talent!

Love it! I especially would like to get my hands on the geometric graphic print top in (if I’m counting right) the 7th picture down, and then the peter pan collar with the tie two below that.

I love these looks! I am always looking for pieces and outfits that will make me stand out as the teacher in the classroom. Not always easy to do at 26 in a high school but these would certainly help!

Although I love this collection, why the Fall 2012? It’s almost spring. Although I understand in planning ahead in the fashion design business, it’s a bit too ahead.
I love the way this is portrayed. Whenever I see “schoolgirl” collections, they can look juvenille and frumpy. This, however, is perfection.

I’m already compiling whole outfits in my head. These pieces are so classic and yet, sooooo fun! I can see any girl wearing these clothes and feeling so great, and so pretty, and like a one of a kind trend setter. Awesome feature!
