Role Models: Meet Maggie!

Auburn-haired beauty Maggie shone in the recent Brand New Hue Collection of Shop Our Outfits, but modeling chops are just the tip of Maggie’s iceberg of talent. This tenacious 25-year-old is studying for her master’s degree in International Affairs and Global Political Economics and was already an accomplished fiddle player before a ModCloth modeling gig fell into her lap. Read what this Fargo, North Dakota native has to say about everything from movie stars to model memories in our quirky Q&A!

How did you get started as a ModCloth model?
One of the ModStylists, Jess, came up to me at Brillobox — [a] local joint — while I was on this lame date, and gave me her card! I was wearing this real cute, vintage, Japanese-style silk dress that I had altered.

What was your favorite ModCloth modeling experience and why?
The day before I left to do an internship in Beirut, Lebanon, I came in for a shoot. I was sick and incredibly nervous and kind of a mess, but [photo aficionado] Brittney is an amazing photographer, so she made me look pretty anyway! I was sweating, and also had the worst balance — I’m not accustomed to heels — so I kept falling over, and Brittney had to keep balancing me. It was ridiculous — and really insane to be in Beirut a week later and see my photos!

Say you’re the star of the next big blockbuster – what’s the plot of your movie?
Me and Christopher Meloni, as his lunch-man persona from Wet Hot American Summer, hanging out on a rooftop.

How would you describe your personal style?
Varied. I feel most sexy in a white T-shirt and some nice high-waisted jeans, but I also like this kind of sophisticated safari style — skinny chinos and light Oxfords with a nice, colored belt. But in the winter, my style is to be WARM.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever given or received?
“Life is too short not to love each other wholly.”

She is lovely!! One of my best friends is studying Int’l Affairs as well (random and perhaps irrelevant to this comment, but yeah..).

I love her hair! I’ve always wanted to be a redhead (with a mom with red hair…not fun) but ended up with brown. Oh well….at least Esther Williams, Judy Garland, and Audrey Hepburn were brunettes. Makes me feel better.

Seriously though, she is really beautiful. I love her modeling experience memory…..made me LOL! :)

The phrase “Me and Christopher Meloni, as his lunch-man persona from Wet Hot American Summer, hanging out on a rooftop,” is pretty amazing. Just saying. Yay, Maggie – you’re awesome!

I have notice that this color of green-blue is in. Those are amazing colors on this model with her red hair. I really like this summer look and hope to purchase a few of these piece for my wife. She helps keep me up to date with the hottest styles. Thanks to the women who help us that need a little guidance.
