A Fashionable Final Project by San Francisco Teens

If you follow the work of our Fashion Writers, you’ll know that we recently hosted a workshop called “Catwalk or Run: Fashion Writing for the Fearless,” in which we taught local teens the ins and outs of stylish scribing at writing center 826 Valencia!

For their final project, each teen completed a fashion piece on a topic of their choice. We then collected their runway reviews, street style fiction, and trend reports, and published their work on a Tumblr that our graphic designers customized according to the students’ requests. We capped everything off with a blog launch party, complete with a sparkling cider toast and a reading for an audience of their family and friends.

I loved the blog! I must say, I am so hooked!! Seeing the different personalities of the teens is fun, and I liked to see their reviews on the shows. So awesome!

It was so great to meet all these students and speak with them. And did I mention how impressed I am with their final projects? Way to go, everyone!
