Pretty much any thrift store is full of empty frames, forgotten and distressed by disuse. Walking by them, you can almost feel their eyes following you, imploring, “Take me home. Please?” Though they may not be of much use alone, these feckless frames can be, in the spirit of our stylebook Happy Accidents, turned into something marvelous. All it takes is some prettily hued paint, a tchotchke or two, and a fistful of DIY inspiration from the projects pictured above!

The clock idea is by far my favourite- looks like it would work with shoe/ jewellery boxes too!
