Back to Cool: A Collegiate Chic Outfit

If you’re anything like me, you looked forward to school shopping as much as you did the beginning of a new semester. For those first days, I perpetually suffered for fashion by trying to wear all my new fall clothes — a heavy sweater, wool skirt, and thick new tights — even though the Massachusetts weather never dropped below 90 degrees. Learn from my mistakes and opt for breezy, late summer separates that, when paired together, paint a picture of fall while still keeping you cool.

Whether you’re headed off to class this season, or simply inspired by scholastic style, the items above ensure that you’ll ace any and all style quizzes!

In this outfit:
1. Out on the Tawny Bag
2. Bouquet of Compliments Top
3. Breezeway to Go Cardigan
4. Love to Draw Necklace
5. Bands of Time Watch
6. The Non-Planner Datebook
7. Swish Come True Skirt
8. Regal Proceedings Heel

About Julie O.

A lover of all things vintage and vintage-inspired, Julie bought her first 1950s frock in the fifth grade. Since then, Julie has become a self-described connoisseur of vintage and thrift shopping, which she shares on her blog, Orchid Grey. When she’s not scouring the racks for the perfect vintage skirt, this native New Englander can be found deftly navigating the slopes of a ski mountain, taking road-trips to the beach, and exploring new places with a vintage camera in her hand.

As much as I love this outfit, I would never be able to wear heels that high around campus.
