We recently held our Fall Fashions, Styled By You Contest on the ModStylists’ Facebook page, where we invited fans to submit and share their awesome autumn ensembles. We were blown away by the creative, inspired, and definitely dashing looks we received, and we picked our fave five as winners! These lucky gals got to work with the ModStylists to create ensembles for a special Shop Our Outfits feature. Here are the results:
“I tend to dress up a bit for school, which is where I would wear the outfit featuring the Any Day of the Peak Top,” says Olivia. “In Tucson, where the weather is typically on the warm-to-cool side in autumn, I wear light layers and am especially fond of tights and scarves. For a night out with friends or a date, I would definitely use the Cherry Tomato Salad Dress as a starting point. I love pairing feminine pieces, like the lacy red dress, with more masculine ones such as the Roam on the Range Boot, for a fun contrast.”
“I’m currently studying to get into fashion school next January, and this contest meant a lot to me!” Talita says. “My go-to fall work outfit would be pretty much the same as the second look: tights + cute dress + cardigan + heels + fun jewelry! I have all kinds of colorful tights and cardigans that I mix and match with my dresses to create new looks.”
“I’m inspired by water and gardens when it comes to style,” says Ginny. “I love natural colors, especially blues and greens. I love big sweaters and am inspired a great deal by growing up in Canada. This influences my style and how I put outfits together.”
Aimee’s love for “anything 1920s to 1960s” and “pieces that are a little out of the ordinary” translate into classic yet playful styling. Her personal go-to outfit for schooldays include “skinny jeans, a solid cardi, printed blouse, moccasins, a long necklace, and lots of stacked bracelets!”
“My fashion choices are often based on versatility,” says Ashley. “I love finding timeless pieces with character. My favorite aspect of [the look on the right] is its ability to transition from workplace to happy hour, simply by removing a cardigan or cover-up. The jumper’s length is modest, and the fitted waist and color give it more character than the typical office outfit. This combination allows room for style without compromising professionalism.”
Thanks to everyone for their fab fall outfit contributions. Keep your eyes out for more contests in the future by making sure you’re a fan on Facebook!
