Nail Klub: Googly Eye Nails for a Hip Halloween!

Judging by the miniature candy bars cropping up around the office, the Halloween spirit has officially arrived at ModCloth! We love getting gussied up in spooky outfits and flaunting them at this season’s many soirees. Nail Klub knows, of course, that no eerie ensemble would be complete without a party-perfect manicure. If your holiday schedule calls for nails that are as quick as they are creepy, then trick-o-treat yo’self to this googly eye nail tutorial!

With just a bottle of nail glue (which we picked up for about three dollars), a bag of googly eyes, and a few short minutes, you can create these cute and kooky nails. This playful technique is great for transforming conservative, work-friendly nails into snazzy statement-makers — something that will come in handy on this year’s weekday Halloween. Start by applying any nail color you’d like — we picked a bold, iridescent purple — then check out the tutorial below. This holiday, all eyes will be on your thrilling mani!

What clever costumes are you coming up with this year?

I love the nails! They are so cute!! Wouldn’t work very well with my costume though. I’m dressing up as Minnie Mouse! She is one of my favorites! :)

Yes! Good thing my costume involves gloves… I can feel free to rock these nails without disrupting my Phoenix look! :D

You could find them at a craft store or maybe Target. They should be really easy to find. x)

What a cute idea! I love it but I’ll have to do it for next year! I will be “cross-playing” for my Halloween costumes (since I’m doing 3 separate parties).

    Slash from Guns ‘n Roses
a Crazy 88 Assassin (from “Kill Bill part 1″)
Mr. Blonde from “Reservoir Dogs” (same costume as my Crazy 88, but different props)

*”Cross-Play is like when you cos-play a male character (if you are female, which I am)

Everyone’s costumes sound SO rad! I’m being Ramona from Scott Pilgrim, but my favorite costume of the year was spotted at last night’s Halloween parade – a little boy dressed as a crane game!!! Is anyone doing nails with their looks? I’m envisioning some adorable polka dots to match that Minnie dress!
