Remember this summer when we asked you to tell us about your volunteer or non-profit career experience? Well, we were so impressed by the many wonderful emails detailing how thoughtful, charitable, and venerable you are!
The women featured in our current stylebook, Role Models, were some of those who got in touch with us. Their dedication to their respective organizations, and their sensational sense of style, make each of them beautiful inside and out. Just like many of you reading this, they make a positive difference in the world.

“I feel just as good as they do when the riders learn something new or develop a new skill,” says Tess. “We see so many smiles on any given day, and that in itself is a great feeling.”
“It’s incredibly rewarding to have a 350-pound silverback gorilla purr and smile at you just for being there for him,” says the animal-loving Andrea.
As a committee member, the aptly named Charity says, “Our small company is a great example of integrity and community support.”
“The parks really are an urban oasis,” says Holly, a web writer for one of the greatest supporters of Pittsburgh’s public parks.
“I wholeheartedly believe in the systems that have been put into place and see the difference PACE can make,” says Jenn.
Creative Director Kiyomi says, “We live in a great city with amazing talent and venues. Our organization strives to present both in the best way possible!”
“It’s such an amazing group of people who work hard to protect something that we directly affect,” says Elyza.
We encourage you to check out these organizations and, if you are able, give resources to those you feel strongest about. Which charities or non-profits do you want to give a shout-out to?

Love that you support so many amazing charities. How did you all ride out the storm?
I recognize Kiyomi from a show featuring band camp kids at Mosswood Park in Oakland! Not to sound creepy or anything. :) Awesome!
Also love the charity support. I’d love to see this being an on-going thread (non-profits need all the love and support they can get). It would be great if you could also support organizations that work with the homeless and people with mental health needs.
Awesome job! Glad to see you featuring real people wearing the clothes and making a difference too!
Big props to Modcloth for featuring these women. It’s nice to see these stylin’ ladies making a difference!
