This holiday, for us, has been all about mid-century charm. When concepting our Holiday Gift Guide, graphic designer Ryan looked to the work of a well-known, ModCloth favorite — Andy Warhol! Both ModCloth and Warhol call Pittsburgh their hometown, so we have a special affection for his work. In the following pages pulled from Andy Warhol Fashion, we see the jaunty nuances and style that exudes from Warhol’s work. Flat blocks of color with speckled shading and pops of pastels, loose lines, simple silhouettes, and elegant poses were re-imagined in Ryan’s design.
