Where to begin with Brooklynite Lauren Clay‘s artwork? There’s her construction and method, to start. She makes the seemingly impossible possible, taking hard materials such as papier-mâché, paper, wood, and wire, and coaxing them into sculptural curiosities that seem to curve, drip, and flow. Her papier-mâché pieces are a mix of opposites — structured yet wild, psychedelic but precise, alien-looking yet organic-feeling — and totally, totally trippy. And those colors! Yes, it’s safe to say that we’re smiten.

Kinda in love, too? Check out Lauren Clay’s website for more visual wonders, or, this great interview with Hi-Fructose Magazine for some good supplementary reading!
