ModStylist Chelsey

Florals falling flat? Pastels a thing of the past? If you’re anything like us, the trend you’re swooning over this spring is bold black-and-whites! If you’ve been looking for fresh new ways of wearing this strong spring trend, our ModStylists are here to help! Today, ModStylists Kelly and Chelsey have each styled two ensembles: one classic black-and-white look, and another with a springtime burst of color thrown in.

A SIGHT IN BLACK AND WHITE — “For this look I decided to go marvelously mod — the exaggerated checkerboard of this black-and-white skirt just screams Sixties to me!” says ModStylist Chelsey. “Paired with a semi-sheer tie-neck tank, clear flats, and the barest hint of color in the earrings and bag, this outfit is the perfect blend of black and white!”

On Chelsey:
Film Fest Top
Bold Sense of Tile Skirt
Storybook of My Life Flat
A Twist Goodnight Headband
Burst of Bloom Earrings
Bright as Day Bag

Young and Bold Heel in Coral
What About Bauble? Necklace in Rich Mauve

ON THE EDGE — “This dress is just begging for you to have fun with your accessories!” says ModStylist Kelly. “Slip on a ladylike petticoat to add some ‘oomph’, and cast on cute accessories — such as skull printed pieces and stiletto heels — to add some edge. Trust me, won’t ever want to stop twirling in these stripes!”

On Kelly:
By Contrast Dress
Field of Visionary Glasses
Fashion Forward Thinking Heel in Black
Eternal Style Necklace
Always Time to Shine Ring
Dia de los Muertos Cardigan in Black

Toss on some gleaming gold accessories and matching shoes, and you’ll be prepared for whatever adventures lie ahead!”

Going Tulle Be Lovely Skirt in Forest
The Dream of the Crop Cardigan in Black

I love these outfits, especially the skulls/stripes and the stripes/tutu. But it makes me sad seeing so many fabulous things that don’t come in my size. :( Please, please consider making the stripey dress, the skull cardi, and the green tutu in plus sizes! Plus size gals want to look fabulous too.
