For those of us who’ve found cities we love, we know that past the initial headlong rush comes a slow, wonderful settling into love as you discover the daily details and minute moments that shape your every day. New York-based graphic designer José Guizar’s project, Windows of New York, celebrates just that experience. Windows of New York is a weekly project that chronicles the Mexican designer’s travels across the city through artistic renderings of the city’s varied windows.
“The Windows of New York project is a weekly illustrated fix for an obsession that has increasingly grown in me since chance put me in this town,” writes Guizar on his project website. “A product of countless steps of journey through the city streets, this is a collection of windows that somehow have caught my restless eye out from the never-ending buzz of the city. This project is part an ode to architecture and part a self-challenge to never stop looking up.”
