Metallic-painted Clutch

Materials:
Clutch or handbag (we used the Strategic Style Bag)
Blue painter’s tape
White acrylic paint
Gold acrylic paint
Paintbrush
Scissors

Step 1:

You’ll be using the tape to mask off the design you decide to create. Once you’ve settled on the design, use the scissors to cut the tape, placing it on your designated areas. We decided to add stripes to our handbag.

Step 2:

To make the gold metallic paint more noticeable, we first coated the exposed areas with white paint. Dip the paintbrush into the white paint and carefully brush on. To speed up the drying process between coats, use a hairdryer set on low.

Step 3:

Rinse and dry your paintbrush and repeat step two, this time using the gold paint.

Step 4:

Once the gold paint is dry, very carefully remove the blue painter’s tape. Touch up any rough areas using your paintbrush and paint or a gold paint pen.
