It’s hard to believe that another month has come and gone, it seems like just yesterday we were clinking champagne glasses and wishing our nearest and dearest a happy New Year. With February nearly here, we thought we’d take a look back at all we learned in this first month of 2014 and highlight a few of our favorite January posts:
Wedding dresses don’t have to be white – While we love a gorgeous white dress, in these pics from her big day with K, bride Elisabeth proved that a navy frock can be just as fabulous for your wedding day. We were so excited to see that she chose ModCloth’s own With Only a Wink Dress in Navy for her nuptials.
We’re all fanatics for Melissa’s film – Snapshot-to-Studio runner-up, Melissa C., really wowed us with her French new wave-inspired short film, and we weren’t the only ones! ModFans from near and far fawned over Melissa’s sweet style and movie-making magic.
Everyone has a Tori story – Were you alive in the 90s? Then you, too, most likely have a super-crush on Tori Amos. We were blown away by the response to ModWriter Amy’s Monthly Muse piece on the singer/songwriter, and we loved reading your personal accounts of how you discovered her music.
We’re all inspired by Deja – Our Model of the month — and ModCloth employee! — Deja, inspired admiration with her positivity and pep in her interview for this month’s Model of the Month post.
Trompe l’oeil is here to stay – Susan shared her excitement for these upcoming ModCloth spring styles, which feature trompe l’oeil, a technique that’s been around since the 17th century!
So, tell us: what did you learn in January? A new skill? Maybe some fresh new facts? Let us know in the comments!
