Following a fairly brutal winter, we’re ready to shed some layers and lighten the mood a bit with our summer wardrobe. Whether you’re looking for fun floral, bold plaid, or striped patterns (or hey, all three at once!), we ModStylists have you covered for any occasion. Check out our tips below for taking your pattern-perfect looks to the next level.

Flower Power: If you’re new to pattern-mixing or just feeling shy, a two-for dress in an all-over pattern (left) is a great way to dip your toes into the trend. Accessorize your look with a pop of turquoise on your wrist, some retro shades, and stellar wedges, and you’ll be ready to take over the world.

In this outfit: Urban Gardens Dress, Espresso Truck Wedge, Powers That Bead Bracelet, Right Chevron Time Necklace, The Music Seen Sunglasses.

Pretty in Plaid: We’re not afraid to mix and match patterns (obviously), and you shouldn’t be either. As modeled by our lovely ModEmployee Ashley, you can see in the outfit on the right how well the boldly printed plaid top complements the delicate gingham printed skort. Pair this look with some cute striped flats, a comfortable shoulder bag, and a watch to keep (or lose) track of time this summer and the possibilities are endless!

In this outfit: Bonfire Stories Tunic in Checkers, Lady Likability Skort, Mariner Character FlatsAlbackpacka Bag, Elegant in Any Occasion Watch in Bark.

Whether it’s chevron and polka dots, plaids and stripes, or gingham and denim, don’t be wary of adventure this summer … you’re wardrobe is ready!
