Father’s Day is this Sunday, and if you’re still searching for the perfect gift, why not get back to basics and make your dad something rad?
Today I’m sharing two incredibly easy DIYs that you can whip up right this second — you probably already have most of the materials hiding in your house. Check ’em out below and let us know in the comments how you plan to celebrate dear ol’ dad on Sunday.
Letter Tile Coasters
Letter game tiles
Decide on the placement of your letters. If you’d like to include a hidden message, lay those tiles out first atop the coaster, then fill in the spaces with additional letters. Once you’ve laid out your tiles, flip them over one by one so you’re looking at the reverse. Press the tiles close together so they’re even.
Cover the coaster with super glue and carefully place atop the flipped-over letters. Press the coaster firmly to adhere to the tiles and allow to dry.
Once the glue has dried completely, flip the coaster over and, using the foam brush, brush a light later of Mod Podge over top. Allow to dry and serve dad a drink in style at your next game night!
Reusable Coffee Sleeve
Old button-up shirt
Needle and thread
To-go coffee cup
Cut a cuff off the button-up shirt. Use the coffee cup to ensure the correct diameter of your sleeve. Next, use the needle and thread to close the hem of the cut side of the cuff.
Once you’ve determined the diameter of the sleeve, sew the sleeve closed. Add buttons from the shirt for extra flair.
